For more than 55 years, AFSCME Council 65 has been fighting to improve wages, benefits & working conditions for employees just like you – people who work to improve the lives of citizens across Minnesota, North Dakota & South Dakota.

Today, AFSCME Council 65 represents more than 14,000 workers in cities, counties, school districts, non-profits & health care facilities across Minnesota & South Dakota.  In 2017, AFSCME Council 65 added more than 400 new members working for the State of South Dakota, Community Action Agencies, Clinics & Hospitals, School Districts, Courthouses, Social Services and Cities.

At AFSCME Council 65; we are direct care workers, correctional officers, maintenance workers, school bus drivers, clerical workers, social workers, nurses, lawyers, paraprofessionals, law enforcement, and much, much more.
