Why Organize with AFSCME Council 65?

For more than 55 years, AFSCME Council 65 has been fighting to improve wages, benefits & working conditions for employees just like you – people who work to improve the lives of citizens across Minnesota, North Dakota & South Dakota.

Today, AFSCME Council 65 represents more than 14,000 workers in cities, counties, school districts, non-profits & health care facilities across Minnesota & South Dakota.  In 2017, AFSCME Council 65 added more than 400 new members working for the State of South Dakota, Community Action Agencies, Clinics & Hospitals, School Districts, Courthouses, Social Services and Cities.

At AFSCME Council 65 we are direct care workers, correctional officers, maintenance workers, school bus drivers, clerical workers, social workers, nurses, lawyers, paraprofessionals, law enforcement, and much, much more. Learn about AFSCME's Agenda here.
